I’ve been listening to podcasts for a long time now, and one of the best episodes I can remember was a Calacanis Cast where he hosted Dave Winer and Peter Rojas talking about creating an open-source hardware platform to be able to wirelessly download podcasts right to the device without having a PC as an intermediary.  The banged the idea around and floated it out there for someone to pick up.  I never heard anything else about it until today when I saw Dave post up over at scripting news that Peter had a post on his blog seeking interested parties in doing a podcast player unconference. 

I just wish I was able to attend.  As an educator and someone who sees huge possibilities for pushing not just audio, but documents to students through RSS, this is very exciting to me!!
